CLAIRECORDS NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER ‘06 Welcome to the silver edition of the Clairecords newsletter, brought to you by a mountain of mashed potatoes, a slice of Tofurkey and a plateful of drumsticks. Burp! MALORY Achtung, baby! It’s been a project five years in the making, but we’re beyond thrilled to announce that our fabtabulous reissue of Not Here, Not Now, the 1999 debut from German dream-popsters Malory, arrived Nov. 14 with bonus material aplenty! One of our mailorder department’s best-selling releases ever, this fascinating album inspired us to license its follow-up, Outerbeats, for release in America. Second chances don’t come around often, so if you never experienced of Not Here, Not Now in its auditory splendor the first time around, consider yourself fortunate. http://www.malory-music.com SCIFLYER Breaking news from Steve Kennedy! “We are in the process of working on the new album with our new drummer, Scott Eberhardt (ex-LSD & The Search For God). (A peek into the inner sanctums of your favorite Clairecords stars!) SILVER SCREEN “Having a good time here lately in Long Beach. I chatted up some girl in the cafe around the corner, and as I was adding my toasted almond specialty creamer it turns out she tells me she works at the Museum of Latin American art just about a mile or so from where I live. She suggests I should volunteer there, and well you better believe I was ready for a new direction so that's just exactly what I did! I worked at the front checking people in for "a night in Havana" a Cuban themed special event. I got fed,met some nice people, even got free drinks at the end! They said I am welcome to volunteer there whenever it is convenient for me. They have a beautiful sculpture garden at the back which I was thinking would be a great place to have a Silver Screen show. Also there is a Silver Screen show planned for next year at the Greek cafe Ambrosia around the corner from me here. They have a lovely overgrown garden patio with white Christmas lights surrounding everything. These are the kind of gigs I'm looking for! New track ‘Tell Me Darling’ will be previewed soon on www.myspace.com/thegreateststorynevertold , it turned out so nice.” ___________________________________________ Clairecords * Purveyors of Quality Noise http://www.clairecords.com http://www.myspace.com/clairecords
